User Information

In general, you can visit our Internet sites without telling us who you are and without providing any personal information about yourself. However, sometimes we or our partners need certain information from you.

You may provide us with some personal information in a number of situations. For example, you may provide us with certain information, such as your name and postal or e-mail address, to contact you in order to process an order or to provide us with your credit card details to purchase something from us. Our purpose is to let you know how we will use this information before we collect it from you. If you indicate that you do not want us to use this information as a basis for further communication with you beyond fulfilling your requests, we will respect your wishes. If you provide us with personal information of another person, e.g. a spouse or colleague, we will take it for granted that you have their consent to provide it to us.

Use and Sharing of Personal Information

The following paragraphs describe in more detail how we may use your personal information and with whom we may share it. Depending on the type of our site you visit, one or more of these paragraphs may apply.

Processing your transaction

If you request something from one of our sites, such as a product or service, callback or specific marketing materials, we will use the information you provide to fulfill your request. To this end, we may share your information with other parties involved, e.g. other parts of our company, our trading partners, financial institutions, transport companies, postal or governmental authorities (e.g. Customs). We may also contact you in connection with a transaction, as part of a customer satisfaction survey or for market research purposes.

Use for marketing purposes

The information you provide to us through its site may also be used by us and selected third parties for marketing purposes. However, we will try to give you the opportunity to choose in advance whether or not you want your information to be used in this way.

Security and Information Quality

We aim to protect your personal information and maintain its quality. We implement appropriate measures and procedures, such as using encryption when transferring certain sensitive information, to protect your information and maintain its quality.

Completing Information

From time to time we may supplement the information you provide to us through the site with information from other sources, such as information that confirms your address or other available business information. We do this to keep the information we have collected accurate and to serve you better.

Disclosure of Personal Information

In some cases, we use vendors to collect, use, analyze and otherwise process information. Our practice is to require these vendors to handle the information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Notice.

Retention Period

We will not retain personal information longer than necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is processed, including to ensure that our processing complies with applicable legal and regulatory obligations (e.g. audit procedures, retention for accounting or legal purposes, etc.), dispute resolution and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
